  2. Toll-like Receptor (TLR) RIG-I-like receptor (RLR)
  3. Poly(C)

Poly(C) (Polycytidylic acid) is a pleiotropic immunostimulant that specifically binds to TLR3, RIG-I and MDA5 receptors. Poly (C) recruits adaptor proteins to activate downstream signaling pathways and induce the production of type I interferons and inflammatory cytokines. Poly (C) triggers cancer cell apoptosis via the intrinsic or extrinsic caspase pathway, thereby exerting inhibitory effects on tumor growth and metastasis. Poly (C) acts as a vaccine adjuvant to modify the tumor microenvironment, regulate the expression of endothelial adhesion molecules and induce virus-like immune responses. Poly (C) can be applied to research related to melanoma, various solid tumors, hematological malignancies and autoimmune insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.

In Vitro

Poly (C) (0.15 M NaCl) forms a 1:1 complex with high-molecular-weight polyguanylic acid, and the apparent cooperative dissociation pK of this complex in 0.15 M NaCl is 12.27, indicating that its stability is higher than that of poly G alone[2].
Poly (C) forms a stable complex with alkali-degraded polyguanylic acid at a nucleotide ratio of 2:1 in a system containing 0.1 M Na+Cl, 0.05 M sodium cacodylate, pH 7.0[2].
Poly (C) undergoes reversible thermal denaturation in a 50% methanol solution containing 0.1 M NaCl and 0.01 M sodium cacodylate at pH 7.0, and dissociates in an 80% methanol solution at 20°C[2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
