(R)-Oxybutynin
(R)-Oxybutynin (Aroxybutynin), an enantiomer of Oxybutynin, is an orally active muscarinic receptor antagonist. (R)-Oxybutynin exhibits antispasmodic and anticholinergic activities, and competitively antagonizes carbachol-induced contractions. (R)-Oxybutynin can be used in the research of urinary incontinence caused by neurogenic bladder dysfunction.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
(R)-Oxybutynin (96 h) shows comparable in vitro permeation capacity across heat-separated human cadaver epidermal membranes to its S-enantiomer, with a total mean cumulative permeation amount of 139 μg/cm2[2].
(R)-Oxybutynin is the enantiomer of Oxybutynin (HY-B0267) with higher antimuscarinic activity. It is 12- to 88-fold more potent than the S-enantiomer at M1, M2, and M3 receptor subtypes, and shows a slight preference for M3[4].
