Rudolfomycin
Rudolfomycin is an anthracycline Antibiotic, composed of the aglycone ε-pyrromycinone and three glycosyl sugar units. Rudolfomycin inhibits the growth of mammalian tumors and exhibits antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria. Rudolfomycin can be used in the research of leukemia and Gram-positive bacterial infections.
For research use only. We do not sell to patients.

Biological Activity
Rudolfomycin (0.25-8 μg/mL) potently inhibits the growth of gram-positive bacteria including Streptococcus pneumoniae A-9585 (MIC 0.25 μg/mL), Streptococcus pyogenes A-9604 (MIC 0.5 μg/mL), Staphylococcus aureus A-9537 (MIC 2 μg/mL), Staphylococcus aureus A-9606 (MIC 8 μg/mL), and Streptococcus faecalis A-20688 (MIC 4 μg/mL), but is inactive against gram-negative bacteria and most tested fungi[1].

Result:Attained the peak median survival time (MST) of 10.0 days and maximal % T/C value of 143 across single intraperitoneal (i.p.) bolus, intermittent day 1/4/7 i.p., 5-day daily i.p. and 9-day daily i.p. schedules at corresponding medium dose groups.
Attained a secondary MST of 9.5 days with a % T/C of 136 only in the day 1/4/7 intermittent i.p. group treated with 0.8 mg/kg.
Attained a consistent MST of 9.0 days and % T/C of 129 at multiple dosages covering all four administration modes.
Attained a uniform MST of 8.0 days and % T/C of 114 across low-dose cohorts of all four dosing regimens.
Attained a moderate MST of 7.5 days with a % T/C of 107 in the 9-day daily i.p. group at 1.6 and 0.1 mg/kg.
Attained the lowest MST of 7.0 days with a % T/C of 100 under day 1/4/7 intermittent i.p. administration at 3.2 mg/kg.
