2C-CN hydrochloride is a selective agonist of the 5-HT2A Receptor. 2C-CN hydrochloride derivative NBOH-2C-CN hydrochloride can block risperidone-induced hypothermia in gerbils and enhance rigidity behavior in mice after predictable fear conditioning. 2C-CN hydrochloride can be used in studies related to thermoregulation and anxiety disorders.

2C-CN (compound 1j) hydrochloride acts as a moderate agonist for βarr2 recruitment to 5-HT2A in transiently transfected HEK293T cells, with an EC50 of 174 nM and a maximal efficacy of 73.3% relative to LSD[3].
2C-CN hydrochloride acts as a weak agonist in transiently transfected HEK293T cells, mediating the recruitment of miniGαq to 5-HT2A, with an EC50 of 503 nM and a maximal efficacy of 85.7% relative to LSD[3].
2C-CN hydrochloride binds to the 5-HT2A receptor via conserved key interactions[3].

In Vivo
