Leukotriene B4
Based on 7 publication(s) in Google Scholar
Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) is known as one of the most potent chemoattractants and activators of leukocytes and is involved in inflammatory diseases. Leukotriene B4 is also an alkyl chain-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs.

Leukotriene B4 induces recruitment and activation of neutrophils, monocytes and eosinophils. It also stimulates the production of a number of proinflammatory cytokines and mediators indicating an ability to augment and prolong tissue inflammation[2].
Leukotriene B4 is a pro-inflammatory mediator synthesised in myeloid cells from arachidonic acid[2].
