Glenthmycin J is a potent antibiotic that can be found in Australian sheep pasture-derived Streptomyces sp. CMB-PB041. Glenthmycin J exhibits activity against Gram-positive bacteria, Methicillin (HY-B0974)-resistant and antibiotic-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus strains. Glenthmycin J can be used for the research of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection and Gram-positive bacterial infections.
