Roridin A
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Roridin A acts as an inhibitor of pollen development in Arabidopsis thaliana and nematicide. Roridin A is isolated from the fungus Cylindrocarpon sp. Roridin A delays the flowering time of Arabidopsis thaliana, inhibits pollen development and stem elongation, and blocks plant growth. Roridin A induces larval death of the southern root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita).

Roridin A (24-500 μg/mL) completely inhibits cucumber root knot formation induced by Meloidogyne incognita at the dose of 24 μg/mL, and reduces root knot formation at the dose of 500 μg/mL[2].
Roridin A (7 days) potently induces the death of juveniles of Meloidogyne incognita (southern root-knot nematode) hatched from treated eggs, with an LD50 of 1.50 μg/mL[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model:Arabidopsis thaliana[1]

Dosage:0.6 μM, 2 μM, 6 μM, 20 μM, 60 μM
-
Administration:incorporated into solid growth medium at seeding; continuous exposure
-
Result:Showed no inhibitory effect on plant growth, no delay in bolting or flowering time, and no impact on stem length relative to control at 0.6 μM.
Did not delay bolting time, but delayed flowering time; inhibited pollen development, resulting in anthers with collapsed structures and no viable pollen, and blocked female fertility (no seed formation via hand pollination with untreated pollen); reduced stem length to first flowering to 17 mm at 2 μM.
Completely inhibited plant growth (no germination) at 6 μM, 20 μM, and 60 μM.
