SRT6
SRT6 is a CD44 inhibitor. SRT6 exerts antiproliferative activity in CD44+ breast cancer and lung cancer cells. SRT6 inhibits CD44-associated SRC kinase, as well as EGFR, ERBB2, ERBB4, MAP3K10 and MAPKAPK2. SRT6 can be used for the research of breast cancer and lung cancer.

Biological Activity
SRT6 (0.01-100 μM; 5 days) inhibits the proliferation of CD44+ MDA-MB-231, A549, and NCI-H23 cells, with EC50 values of 7.57, 5, and 1.37 μM, respectively[1].
The antiproliferative activity of SRT6 (7.57 μM; 5 days) against MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells decreases by 13% after blocking CD44 with an anti-CD44 antibody, confirming that this activity is mediated by CD44[1].
SRT6 (5 μM-50 μM) potently inhibits CD44-associated SRC kinase, and also inhibits EGFR, ERBB2, ERBB4, MAP3K10 and MAPKAPK2 at a concentration of 50 μM[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Result:Inhibited MDA-MB-231 cell proliferation with an EC50 of 7.57 μM, as calculated from 10-point semilog dose-response curves.
Inhibited A549 cell proliferation with an EC50 of 5.00 μM, as calculated from 10-point semilog dose-response curves.

Cell Line:CD44+ MDA-MB-231 human breast adenocarcinoma cells
-
Concentration:7.57 μM
-
Incubation Time:5 days (SRT6 incubation); 30 min (anti-CD44 antibody pre-incubation)
-
Result:Had its antiproliferative activity reduced by 13% compared to cells treated with SRT6 alone, confirming CD44 as a primary target.
