Description

Uniconazole-P is a potent competitive inhibitor of Arabidopsis CYP707A3 with an IC50 of 68 nM and a Ki of 8.0 nM. Uniconazole-P inhibits ent-kaurene oxidase, blocking gibberellin biosynthesis via reduced ent-kaurene to ent-kaurenoic acid oxidation. Uniconazole-P inhibits plant growth[1][2][3][4].

In Vitro

Uniconazole-P (5%; 0-40 days) increases endogenous Abscisic acid (ABA) levels, reduces Indolc-3-Acetic Acid (IAA) levels, and total Gibberellin (GA)s levels in Mandarin Fruitlets[2].
Uniconazole-P (10-100 nM; 12 h) significantly inhibits elongation of Lemna minor root segments at concentrations of 10 nM and 100 nM, with 10 nM treatment reducing elongation to ~25% of control levels, and this inhibition is reversed by exogenous GA3(HY-N1964)[4].
Uniconazole-P (10 nM; 24 h) inhibits elongation of Lemna minor root epidermal cells but does not alter lateral cell expansion[4].
Uniconazole-P (10 nM; 0-30 h) disrupts the transverse orientation of cortical microtubules in Lemna minor root epidermal cells after 12 h incubation, with near-complete loss of CMTs after 24 h incubation, and this disruption is reversed by exogenous GA3[4].
Uniconazole-P inhibits DWF4, blocking brassinosteroid biosynthesis via reduced campestanol to 6-deoxocathasterone oxidation[4].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
