Biological Activity
3-Aminobutanoic acid increases the content of anthocyanin in purple basil leaves, reduces the iron ion chelating ability, and enhances the inhibition ability of LOX and COX-2[1].
3-Aminobutanoic acid (100-400 mg/L, 72 h) activates phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO), increases the mRNA expression of PAL and PPO, reduces the survival rate, pupation rate and eclosion rate of tea geometrid larvae, and prolongs its larval development period. 3-Aminobutanoic acid induces systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in plants, and enhances the plant resistance to pathogens and pests[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
