Phenelfamycin E
Phenelfamycin E is an elfamycin-type antibiotic. Elfamycin-type antibiotics inhibit protein synthesis by interfering with the function of bacterial elongation factor Tu (F-Tu). Phenelfamycin E has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive anaerobic bacteria, including Clostridioides difficile. Phenelfamycin E can be used in research related to Gram-positive anaerobic bacterial infections.
