ent-Avibactam potently inhibits Ambler class A, class C, and some class D β-lactamases, with a turnover number of 1. It exhibits superior potency to existing β-lactamase inhibitors, with particularly prominent inhibitory activity against the KPC enzyme^[1].
ent-Avibactam (4 μg/mL) significantly enhances the in vitro activity of Ceftazidime (HY-B0593) against Enterobacteriaceae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (including Ceftazidime-resistant strains), but does not potentiate the activity of Ceftazidime against Acinetobacter baumannii, Burkholderia cepacia, or Stenotrophomonas maltophilia^[1].
