SCR0911
SCR0911 is an inhibitor of mycobacterial cytochrome bcc oxidase and Plasmodium falciparum cytochrome bc1. SCR0911 disrupts oxidative phosphorylation by binding to mycobacterial cytochrome bcc, binds to the Qi site of Plasmodium falciparum cytochrome bc1, inhibits mycobacterial cell growth and ATP synthesis, and exhibits broad-spectrum anti-mycobacterial and anti-malarial activities. SCR0911 can be used in research related to tuberculosis, malaria, and isolated persistent hypermethioninemia (iph).

Biological Activity
SCR0911 inhibits the growth of M. smegmatis mc2155 (MIC50 = 272 μM) and M. bovis BCG (MIC50 = 107 μM), but fails to inhibit the growth of the M. smegmatis Δbcc mutant strain, indicating that its growth inhibitory activity depends on a functionally intact cytochrome bcc complex[1].
SCR0911 (24 h) inhibits intracellular ATP synthesis of M. bovis BCG, with an IC50 of 50 μM[1].
SCR0911 (30 min) inhibits ATP synthesis in M. smegmatis IMVs (IC50 = 7.6 μM) and M. bovis BCG IMVs (IC50 = 6.9 μM) when NADH serves as the electron donor[1].
SCR0911 (30 min) inhibits ATP synthesis in M. smegmatis PMVs, with comparable potency when NADH (IC50 = 3.8 μM) or succinate (IC50 = 3.4 μM) serves as the electron donor[1].
SCR0911 (680 μM) completely inhibits oxygen consumption in M. smegmatis mc2155[1].
SCR0911 (10 mM) restores the SAMe-producing activity of purified human MAT-1 MAT-1R264H mutant protein to the wild-type level[2].
