In Vitro

Magnesium sulfate (3 mM) for cell culture inhibits phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate-specific phospholipase C activity and subsequent calcium release in cultured myometrial cells^[2].
Magnesium sulfate (20 mM; 6 h) for cell culture inhibits the LPS (HY-D1056)-induced inflammatory molecules production and NF-κB activation in RAW264.7 cells^[3].

Magnesium sulfate (intraperitoneal injection; 270 mg/kg, followed by 27 mg/kg every 20 minutes for 4 hours, and then an additional 270 mg/kg) for cell culture reduces LPS (HY-D1056)-induced inflammation-associated brain injury in fetal mice^[4].

Animal Model:	CD-1 out-bred timed pregnant mice, and intrauterine inflammation was induced by intrauterine injection of LPS (HY-D1056) on embryonic day 15^[4]
Dosage:	270 mg/kg, followed by 27 mg/kg every 20 minutes for 4 hours, and then an additional 270 mg/kg
Administration:	Intraperitoneal injection
Result:	Prevented LPS-induced neuronal injury in fetal mouse brains, as evidenced by maintaining normal neuronal morphology, including dendritic processes and MAP2 staining, without significantly affecting the expression of proinflammatory cytokines or cell death markers.
