Matrix metalloproteinase 3 palys an important role in the neuronal apoptotic process as well as in neuroinflammation. Matrix metalloproteinase 3 can be used in the study of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease (PD).
