Description

Mesopram (Daxalipram) is an orally active phosphodiesterase (PDE) 4 inhibitor. Mesopram inhibits the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IFN-γ. Mesopram demonstrates efficacy in ameliorating Dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) (HY-116282C)-induced murine colitis. Mesopram can be used for the study of chronic inflammatory diseases[1][2].

In Vivo

Mesopram (5 mg/kg, p.o., once daily, 10 days) significantly reduces ethanol intake and preference in male mice in the 24-h two-bottle choice test[1].
Mesopram (10 mg/kg, i.p., q.d., 7 days) reduces (Dextran sulfate sodium salt) DSS (HY-116282)-induced colitis in BALB/c mice[2].
