Description

Piperaquine tetraphosphate is a potent antimalaria agent. Piperaquine tetraphosphate shows inhibition for chloroquine-sensitive and the chloroquine-resistant isolates. Piperaquine tetraphosphate in combination with dihydroartemisinin has the potential for the research of chloroquine-resistant malaria[1][2].

In Vitro

Piperaquine tetraphosphate shows high active against all Cameroonian isolates with IC50 of 38.9 nM, range, 7.76-78.3 nM, and shows inhibits against the chloroquine-sensitive and the chloroquine-resistant isolates[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
