Description

Polymyxin B2 is a polypeptide antibiotic with particularly potent antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria. Polymyxin B2 kills bacteria by binding to lipopolysaccharide molecules on the bacterial cell membrane, disrupting membrane integrity and causing leakage of intracellular contents.
