In Vivo

Piberaline (EGYT-475; Trelibet) (up to 100 mg/kg; i.p.) showed no in vivo pharmacodynamic results in evaluated preclinical mouse studies^[1].
Piberaline is metabolized to produce N‑benzylpiperazine (BZP); the formed BZP can be further metabolized into 4′‑hydroxy‑BZP, 3′‑hydroxy‑BZP, 4′‑hydroxy‑3′‑methoxy‑BZP, piperazine, benzylamine and N‑benzylethylenediamine. Only 3‑4% of Piberaline is excreted into urine in the form of BZP^[3].
