Piberaline (EGYT-475; Trelibet) is a psychoactive piperazine derivative with stimulant and antidepressant effects. Piberaline antagonizes Reserpine (HY-N0480)-induced dopamine depletion. Piberaline can be used for research on depression and central nervous system disorders.

Actividad biológica
Piberaline is metabolized to produce N‑benzylpiperazine (BZP); the formed BZP can be further metabolized into 4′‑hydroxy‑BZP, 3′‑hydroxy‑BZP, 4′‑hydroxy‑3′‑methoxy‑BZP, piperazine, benzylamine and N‑benzylethylenediamine. Only 3‑4% of Piberaline is excreted into urine in the form of BZP[3].
