Gentisein (M-1) (NSC 329491) (1.3-156.0 μg/mL; 30 h) was validated via HPLC method to provide reliable, precise, and accurate quantification across the 1.3-156.0 μg/mL linear range in spiked rat urine matrix, with good stability over 30 h at room temperature^[1].
Gentisein (0.0001-0.1 mg/mL (standard calibration curve); 1 h (extraction, twice)) achieves sensitive, precise quantification across different tissues of Hypericum annulatum, with the highest Gentisein content of 9.35 mg/g measured in flower samples^[2].
Gentisein (1 nM-100 μM; 5 min) potently inhibits 5-HT uptake in rat brain frontal cortex crude synaptosomal suspensions with an IC₅₀ of 4.7 µM^[3].
Gentisein (1 nM-100 μM; 15 min) does not meaningfully inhibit 5-HT₁B receptor binding in rat striatum and rat hippocampus crude membrane preparations^[3].
