Zinc phthalocyanine (1-10 μM, 24 h) inhibits the growth of cancer cell Kyse-140 and OE-33 with IC₅₀ of 1.41 μM and 3.35 μM^[3].
Zinc phthalocyanine (1-10 μM, 24 h) is a photosensitizer that can be taken up by cancer cells and produces ROS under light irradiation of a specific wavelength (694 nm), impaires mitochondrial membrane integrity, activates caspase-3, and induces apoptosis^[3].
