In Vitro

Polymyxin B (10 μg/mL, 6 h) Sulfate decreases the TNF-α and IL-10 production in Human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) ^[3].
Polymyxin B Sulfate shows antibacterial activities with MICs of 0.5 mg/l for E. coli strain IH3080^[4].

Polymyxin B (0.5-120 mg/kg; s.c.) Sulfate shows antibacterial activities in thigh or lung infection mouse model^[2].
