Antibiotic adjuvant 5 (Compound 2) acts as an Antibiotic adjuvant. Antibiotic adjuvant 5 enhances the activity of Azithromycin (HY-17506), Clarithromycin (HY-17508), Doripenem (HY-B0187) and Rifampin (HY-B0272) against *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* PAO1. In Vitro

Antibiotic adjuvant 5 (60 μM; 16 h) dose-dependently enhances the activity of Azithromycin against *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* PAO1, reducing the MIC of Azithromycin by up to 1024-fold[1].
Antibiotic adjuvant 5 (60 μM; 1 h) increases the membrane permeability of *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* PAO1 by 50% at 60 μM[1].
Antibiotic adjuvant 5 (16 h) enhances the activity of Azithromycin against *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* PAO1 by 512-fold in an extremely low-salt medium[1].
Antibiotic adjuvant 5 (60 μM; 16 h) enhances the activities of Clarithromycin, Doripenem and Rifampin against *Pseudomonas aeruginosa* PAO1[1].

Antibacterial agent 335 (50-400 mg/kg; injection; single dose) in combination with 50 mg/kg azithromycin achieves a 43% survival rate in Galleria mellonella infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1, while 400 mg/kg alone shows no toxicity in this model[1].
