In Vitro

Lumichrome (0-100 μM, 24 h) exhibits cytotoxicity in cancer cells H292, A549 and H460 (IC₅₀ = 38, 54 and 79 μM, respectively), induces apoptosis in these cells, and inhibits the colony formation^[2].
Lumichrome (0-10 μM, 5-28 days) inhibits RANKL-induced osteoclastogenesis and bone resorption through inhibition of NFAT/NF-κB/MAPK/calcium signaling pathways^[3].
