Biological Activity
Nifurtoinol shows MIC values of 0.9-50 mg/L to 122 strains of Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter sp., Citrobacter and Proteus vulgaris isolated from infected urinary tracts of children[2]. Nifurtoinol inhibits Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis with MIC values of 100->200 mg/L[2].
