Aurachin D binds to and inhibits cytochrome bd oxidase, thereby blocking the electron transfer process, disrupting the respiratory chain and energy metabolism of pathogens. Aurachin D can be used in research related to leishmaniasis, malaria, Chagas disease, African trypanosomiasis, and tuberculosis[2].
