Reverse Transcriptase
Reverse transcriptases (RTs) are enzyme used to generate complementary DNA (cDNA) from an RNA template, a process termed reverse transcription. Reverse transcriptases (RTs) use an RNA template and a short primer complementary to the 3' end of the RNA to direct the synthesis of the first strand cDNA.
Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) block reverse transcriptase (an HIV enzyme). Non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) bind to and block HIV reverse transcriptase. HIV uses reverse transcriptase to convert its RNA into DNA (reverse transcription). Blocking reverse transcriptase and reverse transcription prevents HIV from replicating.

I-XW-053 sodium
0 ImagesCat. No.: HY-103078ACAS No.: 1644644-89-2I-XW-053 sodium is a specific anti-HIV-1 capsid inhibitor (IC50=164.2 μM). By binding to the CA NTD-NTD hexamerization interface and the R173 region of CTD (Kd=66.3 μM), I-XW-053 sodium disrupts capsid function and reduces polymerization levels. I-XW-053 sodium effectively blocks HIV-1 uncoating, inhibits reverse transcription and early replication, and exhibits broad-spectrum activity against primary HIV-1 isolates in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. I-XW-053 sodium can be widely used in studies related to HIV-1 infection. -

Lamivudine triphosphate
0 ImagesCat. No.: HY-131603CAS No.: 143188-53-8Synonyms: 3TCTPLamivudine triphosphate (3TCTP) is a phosphorylated Lamivudine (HY-B0250) (a nucleoside analogue). Lamivudine triphosphate inhibits the reverse transcriptase of HIV or HBV viruses to block viral replication by chain termination. Lamivudine triphosphate is also an inhibitor of the RdRp activity of the NS5B subunit of the HCV. Lamivudine triphosphate can be incorporated into the nascent RNA by the SARS-CoV-2 RdRp, thus halting mutations in the nascent SARS-CoV-2 RNA. -
