Canthin-6-one exhibits antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium sp. and Staphylococcus sp. with MIC of 8-32 µg/mL[1].
Canthin-6-one (0.5-5 µM, 25 h) inhibits LPS (HY-D1056)-induced expression of iNOS, COX-2, MCP-1, TNF-α and IL-6, and inhibits the phosphorylation of IκB and Akt in RAW 264.7 cells[2].
