Liposomal Amphotericin B
Liposomal Amphotericin B (Amphotericin B liposome) is a liposomal formulation of Amphotericin B (HY-B0221) that can cross the blood-brain barrier. Liposomal Amphotericin B binds to fungal cell walls and releases Amphotericin B to bind Ergosterol (HY-N0181), inducing pore formation, ion leakage, and fungal cell death. Liposomal Amphotericin B exhibits fungicidal activity against a broad spectrum of fungal pathogens, also shows activity against Leishmania, and the liposomal formulation has lower acute and chronic toxicity as well as a lower risk of fungal resistance.

Biological Activity
Liposomal Amphotericin B (3-20 mg/kg; daily) exhibits dose-dependent efficacy in reducing brain fungal burden in a mouse model of cryptococcal meningitis, with the 20 mg/kg/day dose achieving the maximal reduction but failing to completely eliminate the fungi[1].
Liposomal Amphotericin B (10 mg/kg; daily) prolongs the survival of diabetic mouse models with disseminated Rhizopus oryzae mucormycosis[1].
