GPLGIAGQC is an MMP2-cleavable peptide. In nanoparticle-drug conjugation systems, GPLGIAGQC is cleaved by MMP2 between the glycine and isoleucine residues. After MMP2-mediated hydrolysis of GPLGIAGQC, the Fc fragment is exposed on the surface of nanoparticles[1][2].

In Vitro

The GPLGIAGQC peptide (10-40 nM MMP2; 24 h) acts as an MMP2-cleavable linker in AP-PP-DOX nanoparticles, enabling sustained, MMP2-dependent release of DOX with minimal leakage in MMP2-deficient conditions[1].
