Arcyriaflavin A is an indolo[2,3-a]carbazole compound and also a cyclin D1/CDK4 inhibitor. Arcyriaflavin A exists in the marine ascidian Eudistoma sp. and the slime mold Arcyria denudata. Arcyriaflavin A is applicable to research related to colon cancer and lung cancer.

Arcyriaflavin A (series concentration, 24h) shows good inhibitory activity (IC 50 =140 nM) for D1–CDK4.
Arcyriaflavin A demonstrates strated significantly improved selectivity towards D1–CDK4 than several other kinases (B–CDK1, E–CDK2, PKA, and PKC.
Arcyriaflavin A (series concentration, 24h) inhibits cell proliferation with IC50 values of 0.84 μM and 059 μM towards HCT116 and NCI-H460 cell lines.
