1. Apoptosis Anti-infection Metabolic Enzyme/Protease
  2. Apoptosis Antibiotic Caspase Mitochondrial Metabolism
  3. KLA peptide

KLA peptide is a naturally occurring Antibiotic peptide that is nontoxic outside of cells but is toxic when it enters into the interior of targeted cells. KLA peptide can induce cell Apoptosis by disrupting mitochondrial membranes and activating Caspase. MG1-KLA, formed by the coupling of KLA peptide with MG1, can selectively induce apoptosis in pro-inflammatory microglia. KLA peptide can be used for the research of liver fibrosis. KLA peptide can be used for the research of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.

Description

KLA peptide is a naturally occurring Antibiotic peptide that is nontoxic outside of cells but is toxic when it enters into the interior of targeted cells. KLA peptide can induce cell Apoptosis by disrupting mitochondrial membranes and activating Caspase. MG1-KLA, formed by the coupling of KLA peptide with MG1, can selectively induce apoptosis in pro-inflammatory microglia. KLA peptide can be used for the research of liver fibrosis. KLA peptide can be used for the research of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.[1][2]

In Vitro

When acting alone, the KLA peptide (in FITC-KLA form; 50-200 μM; 30 min) exhibits negligible cell-penetrating activity in HSC-T6 cells[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
