3-Isomangostin is a flavonoid compound that acts as an inhibitor of MTH1 and acetylcholinesterase, with an IC50 of 52 nM against MTH1 and IC50 values of 5.75 μM and 12.96 μM against AChE and BChE, respectively. 3-Isomangostin also inhibits human aldose reductase and CDK4/Cyclin D1 with IC50 values of 3.48 μM and 15.6 μM, respectively. 3-Isomangostin inhibits polyol pathway flux, competes with 8-oxo-dGTP for binding to the MTH1 active site through hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic xanthone interactions, blocks cell cycle progression, reduces cancer cell viability, and exhibits growth inhibitory effects against both normal and penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. 3-Isomangostin is used in research on Alzheimer's disease, diabetic complications, Staphylococcus aureus infections, and colon cancer.

3-Isomangostin inhibits electric eel acetylcholinesterase with an IC50 of 5.75 μM, and also inhibits equine serum butyrylcholinesterase with an IC50 of 12.96 μM[1].
3-Isomangostin potently inhibits human recombinant aldose reductase in vitro with an IC50 of 3.48 μM[2].

- To ensure reliable experimental results, the clarified stock solution can be appropriately stored based on storage conditions. As for the working solution for In Vivo experiments, it is recommended to prepare freshly and use it on the same day.
- The percentages shown for the solvents indicate their volumetric ratio in the final prepared solution. If precipitation or phase separation occurs during preparation, heat and/or sonication can be used to aid dissolution.
Add each solvent one by one: 10% DMSO 90% (20% SBE-β-CD in Saline)
Solubility: ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (6.09 mM); Clear solution
This protocol yields a clear solution of ≥ 2.5 mg/mL (saturation unknown).
Taking 1 mL working solution as an example, add 100 μL DMSO stock solution (25.0 mg/mL) to 900 μL 20% SBE-β-CD in Saline, and mix evenly.
Preparation of 20% SBE-β-CD in Saline (4°C, storage for one week): 2 g SBE-β-CD powder is dissolved in 10 mL Saline, completely dissolve until clear.
