SHC 1

SHC 1 is a dual HDAC8/HDAC6 inhibitor (HDAC8: IC₅₀ = 0.036 μM; HDAC6: IC₅₀ = 1.7 μM) that increases SMC3 acetylation levels. SHC 1 inhibits neuroblastoma cell proliferation, colony formation, and migration, induces caspase 3/7 activity, and exhibits antiproliferative activity against neuroblastoma cells superior to that against normal cells. SHC 1 can be used for research on neuroblastoma.

SHC-1 inhibits IMR-32 neuroblastoma cell proliferation with an IC₅₀ of 16.55 μM and exhibits moderate selectivity toward HEK-293 cells (SI 2.480)^[1].
SHC-1 (5 μM; 9-12 days) and SHC-2 (10 μM; 9-12 days) reduce colony formation of IMR-32 neuroblastoma cells^[1].
SHC-1 (5 μM; 48 h) and SHC-2 (10 μM; 48 h) inhibit the migration of IMR-32 neuroblastoma cells^[1].

Apoptosis

SHC-1 (5-10 μM) increases caspase-3/7 activity by approximately 1.45-fold at 5 μM and 2-fold at 10 μM, supporting its pro-apoptotic effect^[1].

Others

SHC-1 inhibits HDAC8 with an IC₅₀ of 0.036 μM, shows selectivity over HDAC4, HDAC3, HDAC10, and HDAC11 (IC₅₀ > 35 μM), and has weak activity against HDAC1 and HDAC6^[1].
