Chaetoglobosin Vb
Chaetoglobosin Vb is a cytochalasin alkaloid with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. Chaetoglobosin Vb attenuates LPS (HY-D1056)-induced TLR4 inflammatory signaling and IFN-β release by downregulating TRIF, MyD88, TLR4 mRNA and IRF7 expression. Chaetoglobosin Vb downregulates the expression and release of inflammatory mediators such as iNOS, COX-2, TNF-α and IL-6 by blocking MAPK/NF-κB pathway activation. Chaetoglobosin Vb reduces excessive ROS production and protects SOD enzyme activity against LPS-induced oxidative stress. Chaetoglobosin Vb inhibits the growth of certain bacteria and radish seedling roots. Chaetoglobosin Vb can be used in research related to colorectal cancer, bacterial infection, and radish growth.

Chaetoglobosin Vb (25-100 μM; pretreatment for 1 h) inhibits LPS-induced protein expression of iNOS and COX-2 in RAW264.7 cells and suppresses the activation of MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways[1].
Chaetoglobosin Vb (25-100 μM; pretreatment for 1 h) reduces LPS (HY-D1056)-induced NO production in RAW264.7 cells[1].
Chaetoglobosin Vb (25-100 μM; pretreatment for 1 h) inhibits LPS-induced TNF-α and IL-6 secretion in RAW264.7 cells[1].
Chaetoglobosin Vb (100 μM; 1 h pretreatment) downregulates the mRNA expression of iNOS, COX-2, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, TLR4, MyD88, TRIF, and IRF7 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells, while having no significant inhibitory effect on IRF3[1].

Chaetoglobosin Vb (16 h) exhibits weak antibacterial activity against Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, ESBL-producing Escherichia coli ATCC 35218, and NDM-1-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC BAA2146 (MIC = 64 μg/mL for all), and shows no activity against MRSA ATCC 43300 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15542 (MIC >128 μg/mL)[3].
Chaetoglobosin Vb (72 h) exhibits weak cytotoxicity against HCT116 human colorectal cells with an IC50 of 18.4 μM[4].
Chaetoglobosin Vb (50-200 ppm; 4 days) inhibits radish seedling root growth in a concentration-dependent manner[4].
