Physalin A has antitumor activity and can induce apoptosis, ROS production and G2/M phase cell cycle arrest. Besides. Physalin A can significantly increase the activity of quinone reductase and increase the expression of detoxifying enzymesc.

Physalin A (0-15 μM; 24 h) inhibits the cell viability and induces cell apoptosis in human non-small cell lung cancer[3].
Physalin A (20 μM; 48 h) improves TGF-β1-induced fibrosis in NP cells[4].
